    atta boy. my buddy …
    atta boy. my buddy went to robert land and he got put through the ropes of 1812 every year. full military re-enactment for punishment.

  2. theotimeca Says:

    Actually, I served …
    Actually, I served with the Lincoln and Welland Regiment. It traces its roots back to 1812 so I understand your objection. But since Canada as a country didn’t come about until 1867, we haven’t been subject to invasion other than the Fenian raids 1866-1871.

  3. kidkappa04 Says:

    not at all. I just …
    not at all. I just believe we should be left to our own accord in ordder to lower personal taxes. the public system would remain for the people who need it (funded by their tax dollars exactly how it is today) and private for those who can afford private. Tax refunds would be refunded to private users every year on their tax returns. its to complex to restructure the GST.

  4. kidkappa04 Says:

    bullshit. try …
    bullshit. try passing that opinion off at Queenston heights. think of 1812 as a Canadian victory that was won when we were still british, but still entirely Canadian

  5. mejsmith1 Says:

    No, the Canadian …
    No, the Canadian system is not communist, since the hospitals and doctors do not directly work for the government. They are merely remunerated by the government, much like private health insurance would, at a set rate, much like private health insurance would. Sounds to me like your some sort of elitist fascist, since you believe only those on the top deserve the best pay.

  6. CCNuck Says:

    That is sick. How …
    That is sick. How can you give that hope, then renege? This is about soldiers’ lives! Holy crap!

  7. theotimeca Says:

    This type of …
    This type of activity is standard ops for any number of governments since the early sixties. Actually earlier, since Canada never really suffered a direct threat to its territory. (1812 doesn’t count, that was British Empire stuff.)

    Promise them anything brings in votes. Putting those promises on hold lets them promise other things. And the price is paid in blood.

  8. MrWingman5 Says:

    great rant
    great rant

  9. ShadesofScorpius Says:

    This is a nice …
    This is a nice sentiment, and very ‘hoo-rahh’, and I agree with this in many respects, BUT it doesn’t stop the CBC (for whom Rick works) from ALSO exploiting soldiers and the war with their ‘Afghanada’ propaganda. So, I find this rant slightly hypocritical.

    Go Rick!

  16. kidkappa04 Says:

    @hoodedfang My …
    @hoodedfang My views are mine and mine alone. these ideas are original and would work excellent without neglecting any of the luxurys we as Canadians enjoy today. your just to stupid to read what i’ve said and just assume it means privitizing healthcare. even Harper would be impressed with my plan and yes, i’d be proud if he was.

  17. kidkappa04 Says:

    @1michelemichele1 …
    @1michelemichele1 No. Universal is not fine. Its very far from fine. WTF do you know about healthcare!?? I’ve had both of my parents in hospital and one of them died. I’m from a privedged family that could have provided better if we wern’t forced into Canadas mediocre free-for-all pisspot of a system. so you with your bullshit insight about nothing. you have absolutely no knowledge on the subject and have no thoughts of your own. Universal is not alright

  18. kidkappa04 Says:

    @hoodedfang forcing …
    @hoodedfang forcing somebody into a situation where they could personally provide otherwise is communist. do some research instead of shooting off little quips you have no personal insight on

  19. ourcanadadottk Says:

    Oh that’s sooooo …
    Oh that’s sooooo good!

  20. extremefoxracing Says:

    haha
    haha

  21. hoodedfang Says:

    Kidkappa04, try …
    Kidkappa04, try educating yourself before shooting your mouth off with Conbot talking points.

    Ever though of finding your own opinion instead of parroting harper’s?

    and universal is fine so off!

  22. hoodedfang Says:

    do you use kneepads …
    do you use kneepads when you blow the government so hard?

  23. hoodedfang Says:

    That’s not …
    That’s not communism at all maroon. Try going to the library and reading about it and not being such a fool.

  24. 1michelemichele1 Says:

    Oh right, that’s …
    Oh right, that’s next on Harper’s list, isn’t it?

    Universal is just fine. off.

  25. kidkappa04 Says:

    @TheDorkOfEarl …
    @TheDorkOfEarl nobody should be limited in this country to accepting mediocritie when they themselves can provide better. that is horribly, extremely, unequalvically wrong. and also communist…

    p.s. my argument was never about police, don’t be an idiot.
