If you read the british press, it’s loaded with hysteria over the alleged hysteria that is "sweeping across the US" regarding BP’s oil spill. The tiniest criticism and the british react with such a defensive knee-jerk anti-Americanism, it’s scary. In fact I was not anti-british because of the oil spill, but I am becoming anti-british because of their strange way of handling the slightest criticism.

Well I just saw an American woman interviewed in the affected area and she was demanding that the Queen of England come out and apologise. How much grovelling do you need to make you feel better? You just have to make people apologise again and again, even if it’s nothing to do with them. Americans never make any mistakes, do they? (I won’t start on about Bhopal again.)

Suffice to say, BP is a company – it’s not a country. The British people have nothing to do with it, and neither does the queen. The British people are badly affected too – just like the Americans. First we were hit by your lousy banks, and now we are hit by this company taking shortcuts too. So why bash the Brits? We’ve been hit in the pockets by both American and British actions. The difference is, when the American bank trouble hit us, we ended up paying for every last penny of the mess ourselves. But Americans want it on a plate. We Brits have been hit twice.

It’s not as you call it a tiny criticism, our news stories are full of the Americans bashing us, Obama being the number one guy who’s doing it and you know what? He’s only doing it because you have elections coming up. He wouldn’t give two hoots about any of you if it wasn’t for that, think about it.

Some of these so called questions are a paragraph or two long!!

Many members, particularly in certain categories do rant. it’s against guidelines so you can report them.

I think most of the time they come off as absolutely ridiculous and laughable, but judging by how women threaten exactly that in this forum, they seem to think it has some effect. What do you think, guys?

Ok, this is a question for those who actually come here for no other purpose than to rant, not to impart their knowledge and not to ask sincere questions. I’m probably wasting my time asking you guys because your probably going to deny it even when the evidence is readily available, but answer me honestly if you can. Why do you come here if all you’re going to do is ask loaded questions and rant?
This is a serious question. I really wanna know why you flood the board with rants, pushing real questions to the next page.
