Rant

The user "Na Na" for example always posts the same thing day after day. And there are several creepers that post on here about spanking and whatnot that I always report.. Do you report these types of things? Do you know how long it takes their answers or questions to get deleted, if they ever do?

Nope. I only report questions that attack another user or questions that reference pedophilia.

A certain number of people have to report the question, less if the reporters have a good reporting record.
But, even if it gets deleted, the asker can always appeal or just repost it.

It’s odd how the Obamaniacs are still ranting. Wonder if they will find anything new to rant about. I mean until they realize that when Obama said he may not be able to make good on some campaign promises due to the economy, that was code for "I can’t pay for this, we need some patriotic middle class tax hikes."

The mind they have is a privilege by God to share His intelligence. But when we use it to hurt others or insult people, that intelligence may be forfeited.

I mean the ones who don’t like nasty dishonest defamatory rhetoric, the kind they lay on every single Republican they see as a threat? Obviously without thinking about it?

I was a democrat, and I felt funny about some of it, but I’d had enough & these people just make me sick. It’s ugly & deplorable what group think can do to the human mind.

She only talks to Fox news because she knows that Fox is in her corner and won’t throw her anything but softballs. For instance, Fox would never have asked her what magazines she reads. They would have given her a list to choose from. LOL!!

Why do everytime I try to make a calm, nice little rant on something I get flamed for it?

The websites I’ve been ranting on is forums dedicated to ranting. Yet, people flame me. Don’t they know that it is the rants forum and anyone should be able to whine and complain on any topic they want?

So can somebody tell me WHY people take rants so seriously?

People are very thin-skinned and most of them who are on the Internet all the time lack social skills.

Also the Internet provide so much anonymity that you rarely get to face your acuser.

The providers like Yahoo! are so worried about lost revenue and getting sued. everything is sooooooooooooo stupid.

I got reported for providing the following answer to someone who wanted to keep cats from under their house. They said the used mothballs without success, so my answer was:

Pour ammonia on the ground under the house and **** the cats!!!

Some dweeb-twit-tree-hugging-animal-gaga-idiot reported me!!!

I guess they thought the ammonia or the **** were worse then mothballs. LOL LOL

Just look at two questions below that are seeking to attack Israel or Jews . They amount to nothing more than incoherent rants. All they do is confirm the commonly held belief that antisemitism which frequently overlaps with anti-Israel prejudice is motivated by nothing more than ignorance.

I have heard *some* people coherently criticize Israel. But the funny (or sad?) thing about it: it was a very liberal Jewish friend of mine who majored in Middle Eastern politics at a renowned university. In that anecdotal evidence is what I think to be the answer: it all boils down to education– how much you have, and where you got it.

Most of the criticism of Israel I’ve seen fail to take into account the big picture. They are very dogmatic (i.e. base their whole argument upon assumptions they accept as fact). An example I see far too often: "Israel is a colonialist state". "Colonialist"= take over natives’ lands="bad".

That is dogmatic– they refuse to see Israel as anything besides "colonialist" (or whatever other theory they base their argument on), and will refuse to question that assumption. As a result, they can’t hold a coherent debate with those who are Pro-Israel. Also– they refuse to see the Israeli’s perspective. Over HALF of Israelis are of indigenous Middle Eastern origin (like me!), kicked out of their ancestral homelands by the "occupying" Arabs/Turks (to use the anti-Zionists’ own language). If Muslims kicked these innocent Jewish citizens out after oppressing them under Dhimmi Laws for hundreds of years, can you blame Israel for taking them in? The argument goes on and on– sometimes you just need to step back and look at it from the very beginning.

People get caught up in these catch phrases ("colonialist state", "apartheid state", "Murderers" etc etc). You need to step back and really think– what does it mean what you are saying? They need to try to objectively think of the Israeli’s side of the story. If you actually THINK, you will see that most (if not all) of those sentiments are unfounded and you could argue much more convincingly.

There are plenty of ways to criticize Israel, I wish the anti-Zionists would not resort to such low and unarticulate arguments. Research both sides, people!
