What do you think about the UCLA racist rant about Asians?
I’m appalled that this girl has the nerve to make fun about the people in the Japan tsunami. Totally uncalled for. If you’re a UCLA, I feel sorry for you that the university reputation is being ruined because of that racist bimbo. It makes the United States less welcoming.
She apologized just because shes afraid of the threats, of the pressure ppl making on her, otherwise if there were more ppl supporting her, the mock would go on and she could act like main star of the American civilized modern culture club who show ppl the truth. I hold no grudge for the racist part she mock at asians, its quite common already for typical ignorance, and she got a point about silence in libarary, but referring to the catastrophe and relative loss in japan as "tsunami thing" , hah, heartless demon, so easy to make fun of someone else’s pain huh ?

She is just crazy and ignorant. She should be ashamed of herself and her parents and everybody else involved in raising her should be ashamed as well.

The U.S is too welcoming as it is. We cant handle everyone elses problem and ours too. I say we return to as much of an isolationist doctrine as possible.

I myself am Asian, and I think she is just stupid. I really don’t think her intention was to be racist, but her video was definitely not the way to go about it. I was pretty offended when she brought up Japan since my family has friends over there. Unfortunately, she was brought up with "American manners," though no American in their right mind would act like this. They would try to feel compassion for the people in Japan, and their family in America. The "ching-chong blah blah blah blah thing" just made me laugh because she’s such an idiot.
However, I don’t believe she deserves to be getting all those death threats. What does that say about America in general, if we all just make threaten people when they something that we don’t agree with and is "racist." Some people need to calm down; she hasn’t committed racial genocide against Asian people, and I’m figuring she never intended to.
